The First Day
The first day was mainly a stake out day after being lost twice we finely found our site. the first time we got lost we ended up in a whole nother state of Mexico. We stopped at a Tecate' bar for directions and a bathroom brake. They charged us four dollars for the bathroom brake!! When we finaly got to Mestizo and we checked ouy the place. The first thing we needed was a new paint job on the house and the Iglesia(church) and a new window and door. After a little time of hanging out the La puerta team left. We left under the direction of the pastor Javier.
This village was in need of some major repairs. At certain places you cansee right through the roof!! and the bathroom door well what bathroom door? so we started on that and we had some great kids come. We also were blessed with three stores who sold/pop or Ice cream within 40ft of the church. we had an awsome time.
The Second Day
We actually got there without getting lost. Today at the villages we started work on our many projects such as the roofing on the La Puerta Iglesia. We went and bought what we needed to tar paper,roofing sheets tar, ect. Daryl started on unroofing the previous roof. while billy played soccer and set things up for the kids. It was cool we had a great turn out of kids and a very fun time.
